A downloadable game for Windows and Linux

It would be quite helpful if you could fill out the playtest survey.

INSTRUCTIONS

At the center of the board is your core building: the Sanctum. Protect it from nightly demon attacks—if it’s destroyed, the game ends.

Starting Setup

You begin with:

  • 2 Exorcists (basic defenders)

  • Armory

  • Outpost

  • Reliquary

  • Chapel

Core Mechanics

  • Exorcists and their upgraded forms can move once and attack once per day.
    (Green border = move, Blue = attack/ability)

  • Sanctum generates buildings (Chapel, Armory, Outpost, Reliquary) each day.

  • Armory, Outpost, Reliquary, Chapel, and Sanctum all generate cards daily.
When a building is ready, it will show a yellow/golden borderdrag the card to your hand (green area) to collect it.

  • Chapel also increases your hand size and has a 50% chance each day to recruit a new Exorcist.

Specializing Exorcists (Exaltation)

After 3 days, Exorcists glow yellow, indicating they're ready to specialize. Drag them onto one of the following buildings:

  • Armory → Holy Warrior
Melee fighter with good stats; regenerates HP and armor each day.

  • Outpost → Demon Hunter
Ranged attacker with longer reach, but lower damage and defense.

  • Reliquary → High Priest
Medium-range support unit that can heal allies (equal to half its damage, rounded up) or attack enemies.

All specialized units still follow the same rule: 1 move + 1 attack per day.

Building-Specific Cards

Each of the 3 main buildings also creates unique cards:

  • Armory

    • Divine Steel: +1 damage for 7 days

    • Divine Protection: +1 armor, +2 HP (and max HP) for 7 days

  • Outpost

    • Watchtower: Stationary ranged unit with decent range and damage

    • Barricade:

      • Place on the board to delay or redirect demons

      • Place on buildings to heal 3 HP and grant 1 armor

  • Reliquary

    • Divine Intervention: Single-target strike from above

    • Holy Hand Grenade: 5x5 area damage (hits both enemies and allies)

Other Rules

  • Armor blocks one full attack, regardless of the damage dealt.

  • Units can have a maximum of 7 buffs of the same type—no infinite damage stacking!

  • Press Esc to open settings: adjust volume or enable auto-pickup from buildings.
